School Meals
School meals are free for all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 through the Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme.
Families receiving certain qualifying benefits may also be entitled to Free School Meals for children in Year 3 and above. Registering for Free School Meals may also help families access additional support with the cost of school activities and school uniform.
You can find further information and apply through Derbyshire County Council. You can apply at any time if your circumstances change:
Children who bring a packed lunch should bring it to school in a clearly named lunch box or container.
School dinners are currently £2.89 per day and should be paid for through the My Child at School App (MCAS).
Important Information
Snacks
All Key Stage 1 children receive free fruit for their morning break, and children under the age of five are also entitled to free milk.
Children in Key Stage 2 may bring a snack for their mid-morning break. We encourage children to choose a healthy option, such as fruit or vegetables.
Please ensure that all snacks and food brought into school are nut-free.
Water Bottles
We ask that every child brings a clearly named water bottle to school each day. Children are encouraged to drink water regularly throughout the school day.
Medical Diets
If your child has a medical condition that means they require an adapted menu, for example because of an allergy or food intolerance, please contact the school office for a medical diet pack.
