Welcome to Our School

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Hague Bar Primary School.

Hague Bar is a happy, friendly and inclusive school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to be the very best they can be. We are proud of our strong sense of community and warmly welcome families from all backgrounds, cultures and beliefs. As a small school, we have the privilege of getting to know our children and their families extremely well, creating a genuine family atmosphere where everyone feels they belong.

Our dedicated staff work hard to provide a creative, engaging and varied curriculum that inspires curiosity and a love of learning. Alongside classroom learning, we offer a range of extra-curricular activities and outdoor experiences, including Forest School, giving our children opportunities to explore, try new things and develop the confidence and life skills they will need for the future.

One of the special features of Hague Bar is our mixed-age classes. They create a wonderful sense of cooperation across the school, with older children developing leadership and mentoring skills while younger pupils benefit from positive role models. It is lovely to see our children learning from, supporting and encouraging one another every day.

We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to flourish. We nurture each child's individual strengths, encourage them to challenge themselves and support them to achieve their full potential. We also value the important partnership between school and home, listening to our children and parents and ensuring families feel involved and well informed.

Most importantly, we want our children to be happy. We want them to enjoy coming to school, feel safe and supported, and leave Hague Bar as confident, kind and respectful young people with a genuine enthusiasm for learning.

I am incredibly proud of our school and the wonderful children, families and staff who make Hague Bar such a special place.
